Powerview RCMP responded to a report of a deceased male located at a residence on Mayaa Road in the community of Black River on August 18th at approximately 8:00 am.

On arrival police located a 43-year-old male who was pronounced deceased.

On September 3rd RCMP announced that death of the 43-year-old male was the result of homicide.

Investigators arrested Anthony Fagnan, 33, of Winnipeg, and charged him with Manslaughter.
