Update charges laid – Vancouver police investigating a double homicide

Vancouver police were asked to check in on the welfare of the residents of a home on  West 64th Avenue near Hudson Street on September 27, around 1:30 pm.

Police arrived to find a 60 year old woman, and a 60 year old man dead. The BC Coroners Service is working on identifying the victims.

Constable Jason Doucette of VPD has said that the deaths do not appear to be a murder suicide.

Update September 29th
Vancouver police are asking for help from the public in locating a 2014 White Kia Soul with B.C. licence plate ACK 605. Do not approach the vehicle and call 9-1-1 if you see it. This vehicle is associated to the residence where the two people were found dead, and is unaccounted for.

The victims have been identified as married couple, Dianna Mah-Jones, 65, and Richard Jones, 68, of Vancouver. Police have yet to determine if the act was random or targeted.

Rocky Rambo Wei Nam Kam, 25, has been charged with two counts of second degree murder in relation to the deaths of Richard Jones and Dianna Mah-Jones.
