Vancouver police responded to a report of a stabbing in an apartment on Abbott Street near West Pender Street, on June 29th at 12:15am.

Police and paramedics arrived to find Shane John Tolmie, 26, suffering from a serious stab wound. Tolmie was rushed to hospital where he dies of his injuries on July 1st.

Police arrested a 24-year-old woman at the scene, however she has since been released.
