Vancouver police were alerted of an assault in the area of East Cordova and Dunlevy streets on August 6th at approximately 5:30pm.
Police and paramedics arrived to find 64-year-old Jeff Strom suffering from serious injuries. Strom was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries on August 8th.
James Frederick Fierheller, of no fixed address, was originally arrested and charges with assault causing bodily harm. Since the passing of Jeff Strom, charges have been upgraded to Manslaughter.
