The 2023 Edmonton homicide victim list is available here

Edmonton police responded to a weapons complaint in the area of 107 Avenue and 104 Street on Friday, Dec. 22, 2023, at approximately 2:05am.

On arrival, officers located an adult male in medical distress and immediately began providing first aid. The victim Harley Herman, 34, was declared deceased by paramedics.

The Edmonton Medical Examiner completed an autopsy on December 27th and revealed the cause of death to be a stab wound and the manner of death a homicide.

Homicide Section has since arrested and charged Tyler Gray, 23, with second-degree murder in relation to Herman’s death.
