Toronto police responded to a shooting in the area of Eglinton Avenue East and Markham Road on December 19th at approximately 12:15am.

Police and paramedics arrived to find a man suffering from gunshot injuries. He was rushed to hospital where he died a short time later. He has been identified as Adam Christopher Moncrieffe, 34.

Police said the victim was walking in the area when he was shot by suspect(s) who were traveling in a vehicle.

Update TPS announced the suspect vehicle was driving around the Scarborough Village Neighbourhood before the shooting took place at Eglinton Avenue East and Markham Road. After the shooting, the suspect vehicle was seen fleeing southbound on Markham Road

It’s described as a newer model white Honda CRV with dark rims.
