Updated: Toronto police investigating the City’s first homicide of 2019

Toronto police responded to report of a stabbing at approximately 12:24 a.m at a residential building near Gordonridge Pl. and Danforth Rd.

Police and paramedics arrived to find a man in his 30’s suffering from a stab wound to the upper body. Despite life saving efforts the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Update: Police have named the victim as 36 year old Ian Dyer, of Toronto.

Update, On Tuesday, January 8th, Leigh Ming, 34, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with first degree murder.
