Toronto police responded to a call reporting a shooting at a residence near Jones Avenue and Hunter Street on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at 7:03 p.m.

On arrival, officers discovered a woman, later identified as 34-year-old Alisha Brooks of Toronto, who had been shot outside the residence. Life-saving measures were immediately administered by emergency responders. Brooks was transported to the hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.

33-year-old Aaron Shea, was arrested at the scene. It has been confirmed that the victim and the suspect were known to each other.

Charges Filed Against Aaron Shea: Aaron Shea has been charged with First-Degree Murder in connection with the fatal shooting of Alisha Brooks.
