Toronto police were called to Coronation Park on September 2nd at approximately 6:15pm on report of a shooting.
Police arrived to find 30-year-old Michael Lewis in the picnic area of the park, suffering from gunshot wounds. Lewis was pronounced at the scene.
Police said Lewis was attending a memorial for a homicide victim when he was approached by 4 men. After a brief conversation the suspect pulled out hand gun and shot Lewis at close range.
The suspects fled the scene north toward Lake Shore Boulevard West.
