Toronto police responded to a call for unknown trouble in the Seaton Street and Callaghan Lane area on September 9th at approximately 4:40 p.m.

On arrival police located a woman was in distress suffering from stab wounds. She was transported to hospital with serious injuries where she later succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased.

The victim has been identified as Crystale Brown Pelland, 36, of Toronto.

The investigation remains ongoing.
