Toronto Homicide 20 – One killed and two injured in a downtown homicide

Toronto police responded to several reports of a shooting at an establishment in the area of Queen Street West and Portland Street at approximately 2:36am on April 11th.

On arrival police located a 30-year-old man, a 36-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man suffering from serious injuries. All three were rushed to hospital where the 30-year-old man was pronounced deceased. The victim has been identified as Ibrahim Abdikarim, 30, of Toronto.

Investigators said the suspect fled the area in a dark two-door sedan.

Anyone who witnessed the shooting, or who may have been driving in the area at the time and has dash-camera footage is asked to contact police.
