Toronto Homicide #19 – Hugo Munoz charged with second-degree murder in the homicide of Cynthia Coffey

Toronto police responded to a radio call for a missing person in the Pape Avenue and Gamble Avenue area on April 4th. According to police the missing woman had not been heard from for some time.

Police located the body of Cynthia Coffey, 64, of Toronto, inside an apartment suffering from significant injuries. She was pronounced at the scene.

On Monday, April 5, Hugo Munoz, 46, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with: Second Degree Murder. Police said the victim and accused were known to each other.
