Brampton Ontario 2026 Homicide Victim List

Peel police were called to the report of a shooting in the area of Sandalwood Parkway and Crown Victoria Drive in Brampton on June 4th at approximately 7:10pm.

On arrival police located a man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was later pronounced deceased. Investigators are currently working on identifying the victim.

So far, no arrests have been made. Investigators are searching for two suspects who fled the scene in a dark sedan. They are described as: medium build and were wearing dark clothing at the time of the shooting.

On July 21, after an extensive investigation, police arrested 24-year-old Bakiram Balakumar of Scarborough and charged him with first-degree murder. He remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice.

Investigators have also identified two additional suspects who were captured on video and are still wanted. Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating these individuals. They are believed to be armed and dangerous.

Members of the public are urged not to approach the suspects if they are seen. Anyone with information or who spots them is asked to call 911 immediately.
