The 2025 Alberta Homicide Victim List is available here

Around 2:20 a.m. on March 11, 2025, police responded to reports of a man in medical distress after an altercation at a residence on Legacy Boulevard S.E. Hw was pronounced at the scene.

Following an autopsy conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, the victim has been identified as a man in his 60s who is believed to not be from the Calgary area.

The name of the victim will be released upon completion of next of kin notification.

Stefan Simion BEL, 37, of Calgary has been charged with one count of second-degree murder. He will next appear in court on Friday, March 14, 2025.
