The 2023 Edmonton homicide victim list is available here

Downtown Edmonton patrol officers responded to the report of an injured male outside of a shelter located in the area of 105A Avenue and 100 Street on October 1st at approximately 5:25 p.m.

On arrival police and paramedics located an injured 39-year-old man. He was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

Update, On October 3rd EPS announced that the autopsy was complete and Keith Phillips, 39, died of a stab wound to the chest. Theodor Brian Fiddler, 31, was arrested and charged with second degree murder in relation to Phillips’ death.
