 Tommy Dugas shot in a hotel parking lot in Montreal

Montreal police are investigating after a man was found dead in a hotel parking lot in the area of St-Jean Boulevard in Pointe-Claire on June 30th.

Police said they received a 911 call at approximately 4:30pm. Police arrived and attempted to revive the victim, Tommy Dugas,, 34,  however he was reported deceased at the scene.

More information will be added as it becomes available.

Update Jerome Latham, 49, was arrested on July 3, and charged with second degree murder.

Nicolas Lavoie-Cloutier 18 shot to death in Montreal

Montreal police were called to the area of Quinn and Brodeur streets, on June 25th at approximately 9:30 pm on report of a shooting.

Police arrived to fins Nicolas Lavoie-Cloutier, 18, suffering for gunshot wounds. Lavoie-Cloutier was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

It is alleged that Lavoie-Cloituie was running from a group of people when he was shot.

No arrests have been made at this time.

Man shot to death in Montreal’s 11th homicide of 2018

Montreal police were called to an apartment building on 1 Avenue North, near Gouin Boulevard  on May 26th at approximately 9:50am on report of gunshots.

Police arrived at the basement apartment to find a 45 year old Constantinos Tountas suffering from an upper body gunshot wound. The victim was declared deceased at the scene.

A 33 year old key witness has now become the main suspect. Police have not released the name of the accused. More information will be added as it becomes available.

Montreal’s 10th homicide – Samy Mokkadem shot to death in broad daylight

Montreal police said the shooting happened at approximately 1pm, in front of many witnesses on Bélanger Street, at the corner of rue Garnier, on May 14th.

Samy Mokkadem, 39, was shot at close range at least once, while sitting in a white Bentley convertible. The victim was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries on May 18th.

The suspect fled on foot, after throwing the murder weapon on the ground. No other information has been made public by police at this time.

Montreal’s 9th homicide of 2018 – Fire takes the life of a 61 year old woman

The Montreal Fire Department was called to a townhouse complex on Bois-des-Caryers St, May 16th at approximately 10:30pm on report of a fire.

The body of a woman was found after the fire was extinguished. Montreal police believe the remains are those of a 61-year-old woman who had been listed as missing.

The cause of the fire has not been released, however police have called the death the 9th homicide of 2018.

Jérémie Fortier-Grenier, arrested in relation to the death of his father Richard Grenier in Montreal

Montreal Police said the body of Richard Grenier, 59, was found by a passerby in a ditch on Marie-Curie Ave near Albert-Einstein Street at 5:45 am,  May 11th.

Jérémie Fortier-Grenier, 23, was arrested on May 11th and taken to hospital for “self inflicted wounds”. The Sûreté du Québec said Fortier-Grenier is the victim’s son. Police have not released the cause of death at this time.

Jérémie Fortier-Grenier will remain in custody until he appears in court.

One man dead and one injured in Montreal’s 7th homicide of 2018

Montreal police were called to the area of Bercy and Ontario streets on report of a shooting,  just after 6 pm on April 6th.

Police arrived to find 2 men, ages 31 and 42, laying on the ground, suffering from injuries.  Andrée-Anne Picard of the  Service de police de la Ville de Montréal. said that multiple shells casings were found around the victims.

Both men were rushed to hospital where one man died of his injuries and the other was listed in stable condition.

Police have not released any other details at this time.
