Halifax police responded to report of a female in medical distress, on a path near Albro Lake Road, on June 6th at around 10pm. Police found 18 year old Chelsie Prober in serious condition.
Prober was taken to hospital where she later died. The cause of death has not been released at this time.
A team of volunteers are helping Halifax Regional Police search for evidence.

Halifax police have announced that a youth male who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act has been charged with second degree murder in relation to the death of Chelsie Prober.
