On March 5th at approximately 9:30 p.m, a woman went to visit her ex partner, who was identified by Journal De Quebec as Lucky Gagné, 30, who she had a child with, when her new partner allegedly showed up at the scene, and allegedly shot and killed Gagné.

The man fled the scene and barricaded himself in his residence in Ormstown. According to reports, the man was said to have consumed a large quantity of alcohol and medication during the night and was found unconscious in his bed the morning of March 6th after police broke down the front door of his home. He was arrested and taken to hospital where he is expected to survive.
