Update Victim identified as missing Calgary man Bradley Shaw – Slave Lake Police release a sketch of the unidentified homicide victim

Slave Lake RCMP responded to a report of found human remains that had been located in a rural area near the town on October 6th.

Police said the victim is male, believed to be older than 45 years old. The victim appears to be Caucasian with possible mixed Indigenous ancestry, he appeared to have had a stubble beard at the time of death and balding pattern style of hair. Police believe the victim had been deceased for a period of time.

The death is being investigated as a homicide. Slave Lake RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance for any information in relation to this incident or identifying those responsible. Please contact the Slave Lake RCMP at 780-849-3999.

Update December 4th
Human remains located in Slave Lake, Alta., have been formally identified as missing Calgary man Bradley Shaw. Police said Shaw was last seen by family in Calgary on September 2nd, 2015, and was reported missing a few weeks later. Shaw was 27 years old at the time of his death. The cause of death will not be released at this time, however, the case remains an active homicide investigation.
