Saskatchewan RCMP’s Homicide Investigation Unit is investigating after human remains were found near Pelican Narrows, Saskatchewan.

On May 13, 2026, officers discovered the remains during a planned search in the area. An autopsy completed two days later confirmed the identity of the deceased as 16-year-old Jay’siiah Webb-Long, a teen originally reported missing from Brampton, Ontario. His family has been notified and support services have been offered.

Police say Jay’siiah had last been in contact with his family on May 16, 2025, and was living in Pelican Narrows around the time he disappeared. His missing persons report was first filed with Peel Regional Police, and the case was later transferred to Saskatchewan RCMP, who took over the investigation in July 2025 after treating it as suspicious.

Investigators now believe the case is a homicide, and the investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Saskatchewan RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
