RCMP lay charges in the second Stony Mountain Institution homicide this month

Stonewall RCMP received a report of an unresponsive male at Stony Mountain Institution, on April 22nd at approximately 9:00pm.

Police said a 42-year-old male inmate suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries. The inmates death has been confirmed to be a homicide, police have not released the cause of death.

On April 24, 2019, RCMP arrested 29-year-old Kevin Curtis Edwards and 27-year-old Peter Fisher and charged them with First Degree Murder. On April 26, 2019, 30-year-old Aaron Michael Ducharme was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder.
