Saddle Lake RCMP received a report of a serious assault at a residence in Saddle Lake Cree Nation on November 29th at 4:05 a.m.

Police located 66-year-old Saddle Lake Cree Nation resident, Roland Jackson, who was pronounced deceased at the scene. The cause of death has not been released.

Albert Paul Jackson, 39, was arrested at the scene and charged with Second Degree Murder. As this matter is before the courts no further information will be released.
