Meadow Lake RCMP responded to the report of a shooting at a business in Meadow Lake, SK, at approximately 5:40 a.m on July 18th.

Officers and local EMS arrived to find 23-year-old Kenneth Fiddler, who sustained a serious, life-threatening injury. He was transported to hospital where he was declared deceased. Police have not released the victim’s identity at this time.

Investigators continue to conduct witness interviews and gather information to develop a clear timeline of events and determine the circumstances surrounding the victim’s death.

On October 29, 2025, investigators travelled to a correctional centre in Alberta and arrested two males in relation to this investigation.

31-year-old Creeson Merasty and 39-year-old Gerald Sinclair are each charged with one count of second degree murder, Section 235(1), Criminal Code.
