Barrie Police and Paramedic Services responded to a report of a stabbing at 16 Dunlop Street East on November 16th at 7:15am.
On arrival officers located Ryan Babineau, 30, suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
On November 21st Police arrested and charged a 28-year old male of no fixed address with 1st Degree Murder, Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and Disguise with Intent after he was located at a Barrie residence. Barrie police said there are two outstanding suspects who are wanted for first-degree murder.
According to police, the first suspect is a 25-year old male who is currently in custody on an unrelated matter and will be charged at a later date. The second suspect has been identified as Tyler Wren, of no fixed address. He is 26-years old and is described as 5’6, 188lbs. with a thin build, brown hair, blue eyes a beard and small facial tattoos under each eye. Police are asking that he not be approached if seen. He is considered dangerous and 911 should be called immediately.
