RCMP said that the body of a woman in her fifties was discovered in Alma at around 6:00 pm on January 27, 2018 .Officers say the woman was found by people who were searching for her, as she was reported missing earlier in the day.

An autopsy was conducted on January 29th, police have not made the findings public at this time.
