Update, three charged – Police investigating early morning double homicide in Calgary

Calgary Police responded to report of a shooting in the 2400 block of 37 Avenue N.E. on April 3rd at approximately 2:15am.

Police arrived to find two men suffering from gunshot wounds inside a vehicle, outside of the Mazaj Lounge and Restaurant. . One man was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was severely injured. The second victim was taken to hospital where he died from his injuries.

Police have not released the identities of the deceased at this time.

Update: The victims of the April 3rd shooting have been identified as Jasdeep SINGH, 25, of Calgary, and Japneet MALHI, 22, of Airdrie. Police searching for a vehicle that is thought to be connected to the homicide. The vehicle is described as a dark-coloured, four-door, 2002 to 2006 Nissan Altima with a rear spoiler. 

Update April 8th 2021,
Calgary police announced on April 7th 2021 that three men have been arrested in relation to the double homicide. Amandeep SAGGU, 30, Prabhjyot BHATTI, 22, and Jaskaran SIDHU, 21, all of Calgary, have each been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of reckless discharge of a firearm.
