Police said 25-year-old Oyebode Oyenuga of Windsor was reported missing in February 2021. Oyenuga was last seen on February 2, 2021, in Windsor, driving a 2015 white BMW with license plate CRNW931.

OPP located the remains in a marsh area on Walpole Island on March 17th and continued investigating the site with the forensic identification unit into April. On June 4th Opp announced that the death of Oyenuga is being investigated as a homicide.

Police said at this time, there is “no identified risk to public safety”. Information will be added as it becomes available.

Update September 2021
Lambton OPP and Windsor Police arrested 31-year-old Rolf Agard from Windsor, 40-year-old Dwayne Jahton from Scarborough, 28-year-old Saccara Johnson from Windsor and 23-year-old Dejour Millington from Toronto. All four men were charged with first degree murder. OPP say a 40-year-old Scarborough resident was also arrested and charged with first degree murder.

20-year-old Zy’Shaun Lawrence was arrested on Friday October 15th and has been charged with accessory after the fact to murder and indignity to a dead body.

21-year-old was arresed on March 10th 2022, and charged in relation to the homicide of Oyebode Oyenuga.

Update March 11th, 2026: A Jury in Sarnia-Lambton has convicted Jahton Blair of second-degree murder and kidnapping in connection with a 2021 homicide. Blair had pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and kidnapping at the start of the trial.

After a month-long trial, the jury returned a unanimous verdict of guilty on both charges. Blair will receive an automatic life sentence, with the court determining a parole ineligibility period between 10 and 25 years.
