Police identify human remains found in Walpole Island in March as Missing Windsor man Oyebode Oyenuga. His death is being investigated as a homicide

Police said 25-year-old Oyebode Oyenuga of Windsor was reported missing in February 2021. Oyenuga was last seen on February 2, 2021, in Windsor, driving a 2015 white BMW with license plate CRNW931.

OPP located the remains in a marsh area on Walpole Island on March 17th and continued investigating the site with the forensic identification unit into April. On June 4th Opp announced that the death of Oyenuga is being investigated as a homicide.

Police said at this time, there is “no identified risk to public safety”. Information will be added as it becomes available.

Update September 2021
Lambton OPP and Windsor Police arrested 31-year-old Rolf Agard from Windsor, 40-year-old Dwayne Jahton from Scarborough, 28-year-old Saccara Johnson from Windsor and 23-year-old Dejour Millington from Toronto. All four men were charged with first degree murder. OPP say a 40-year-old Scarborough resident was also arrested and charged with first degree murder.

Update October 20th
20-year-old Zy’Shaun Lawrence was arrested on Friday October 15th and has been charged with accessory after the fact to murder and indignity to a dead body.

Update March 15th 2022
21-year-old was arresed on March 10th and charged in relation to the homicide of Oyebode Oyenuga.
