The 2023 Brampton Homicide Victim List is available here

Peel Region emergency services responded to a shooting at St. Roch Catholic School, located at 200 Valley Way Drive Brampton on July 22, 2023, at approximately 9:15 pm.

On arrival police located 30-year-old Anthony Putzu of Toronto suffering from a gunshot wound, and without any vital signs. Putzu was rushed to a trauma center, where he died of his injuries.

Investigators have identified the suspect vehicle involved in this incident as a 2023 Black Nissan Murano with Ontario license plate *CYJS 166* with damage to the driver’s side. This vehicle was later located burned in the 8th Line and Britannia Road area in Milton on the morning of July 23, 2023.

Police said there are three suspects believed to be associated with this vehicle, and between July 22 at 9:30 p.m. and July 23 at 8:00 a.m., it is possible they attended a gas station to buy gas and a gas can in the Peel or Halton Region.
