Update: Tyler LEONARD-MACLEOD arrested for murder – Ottawa police investigate the fatal shooting of Zachary Tiglik, the second Carlington homicide in a week

Ottawa police were called to a shooting in the 1500 block of Caldwell Avenue on June 29th at 9:26 pm.

On arrival police located 19-year-old Zachary Tiglik of Ottawa suffering from gunshot injuries. Ottawa paramedics treated the victim, however, he died of his injuries.

Police said there is no suspect description available at this time. The Homicide Unit does not believe that there is a link between this shooting homicide and the one on Raven Avenue, a day prior.

Update: Tyler LEONARD-MACLEOD, (pictured) age 21, of Ottawa, is wanted for second-degree murder. LEONARD-MACLEOD is described as a white male, medium build, with a tattoo of the word “Family” on his left forearm. He is considered armed and dangerous. If seen, do not approach him, please call 911.

Update July 14th:
The Ottawa Police Service has arrested and charged 21-year-old Tyler LEONARD-MACLEOD in the shooting death of 19-year-old Zachary Tiglik that occurred on June 29th in the 1500 block of Caldwell Avenue.
