Thunder Bay Police Service and Firefighters with Thunder Bay Fire Rescue and paramedics with Superior North EMS were dispatched to a residential address in the 200 block of Mary Street East just before 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 27.

When police arrived, they learned an adult female, who appeared to have sustained serious injuries consistent with a recent assault, had died.

A scene was established and members of the Thunder Bay Police Service’s Major Crimes and Forensic Identification Units are now involved in the ongoing investigation.

On Wednesday, June 28 Cameron Gary-James ADOMKO, 41, of Thunder Bay, is charged with:

• Second-Degree Murder
• Breach of Probation x 2

Johnna Louise SONEGO, 56, was located and arrested without incident by members of the Major Crimes Unit at a business on the city’s southside just after 12:30 p.m. today (Friday, June 30).
