Ottawa police and paramedics responded to report of a man in cardiac arrest on Frechette Street at approximately 3:00am on December 23rd.
On arrival paramedics determined that the man had been shot, and rushed him to hospital where he died of his injuries. The victim has been identified as Keith Fitzsimmons, 50.
A youth who can not be named has been charged with first degree murder. Sébastien Lafleur, 21, was charged with forcible confinement, uttering threats and several firearms charges.
