Quesnel RCMP responded a report of a multiple stabbing on July 21st on Holborn Drive.

Police arived to find a deceased 48-year-old man and a woman suffering from serious injuries. The woman was rushed to hospital where she remains in critical condition.

Police said a 32-year-old man turned himself in on July 21. Kristopher Edward Leclair, 32, has been charged with one count of second degree murder and one count of attempt to commit murder.

Update December 7th 2021
Kristopher Edward Leclair has been found not guilty by reason of mental disorder for the 2018 stabbing death of Michael Potter, who was 48 years old at the time. Leclair was also cleared of counts of attempted murder and aggravated assault in relation to Sharon Tobin.
