One Dead, One Injured in North York Stabbing; 70-Year-Old Man in Custody

Toronto police were called to the report of a stabbing in the intersection of Wilson Avenue and Beverly Hills Drive at around 12:03 p.m on June 22nd.

When officers arrived at the scene, they located two male victims, both in their 50s. One of the victims was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced dead. The second victim was also taken to hospital but is expected to recover from non-life-threatening injuries.

A 70-year-old man was arrested at the scene in connection with the attack. Police have not yet released his name or the charges he may be facing. The nature of the relationship between the suspect and the victims remains unclear at this time.

The Toronto Police Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation. Authorities continue to gather evidence, and anyone with information is encouraged to come forward.
