Niagara Region Police officers responded to the area of Pleasant Avenue and Lake Street in the City of St. Catharines for reports of a shooting on June 12 at 3:40am.
On arrival police located three injured victims. One victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. One victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The second victim suffered severe injuries and was transported to an out-of-town hospital for treatment. The third victim is currently being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
NRP said the deceased is a 36-year-old man who was living and working in St. Catharines. The other injuried are both males, ages 36 and 42 years old. They are also both living and working in St. Catharines. All three men are residents of Mexico working at an area farm.
The next of kin have been notified and the identity of the deceased is not being released.
