Halifax police responded to a weapon complaint at 5 Viscaya Place in Dartmouth on June 11th at approximately 2:08 am.

On arrival, police located 34-year-old Nelson Tyrelle Beals deceased with injuries that were consistent with gunshot wounds.

Investigators are asking that anyone with information or video surveillance from the area between 1 a.m and 2 a.m. to call the police at 902-490-5020. Anonymous tips can be sent to Crime Stoppers by calling toll-free 1-800-222-TIPS(8477).
