Update: Two men arrested – Nova Scotia police investigating a homicide after a missing man was found deceased in Yarmouth County

According to RCMP Colton James Cook, 26, was last seen around 11 p.m. Friday September 25th and was reported missing on September 27th from Brooklyn NS.

Police located the remains of Cook on September 29 near the intersection of Saunders Rd. and Raynardton Rd. in Yarmouth County. Police are investigating the death of Cook as a homicide. The RCMP’s Southwest Nova Major Crimes Unit is conducting the investigation with the assistance of Yarmouth Town and Rural Detachments.

Update October 4th
Robert Charles Rogers, 57-years-old, and Wayne Richard Crawford, 36-years-old, both of Yarmouth County were arrested on October 1st in  Digby County. Both men have been charged with Murder and Interferes with Human Remains.

Update December 14th
According to RCMP on September 26, two vehicles were seen in the South Ohio area and investigators believe that the drivers of either vehicle may be able to assist in the homicide investigation. The first vehicle is a dark grey single cab Ford Ranger. The second vehicle is an older model small silver sedan with a black rear bumper.
