Update: Victim identified as Josianne Faucher – Quebec provincial police investigate the suspicious death of a woman in Candiac

Montreal police responded to the report of a deceased woman at an apartment on Toulouse Street on April 9th just before noon.

According to Radio-Canada, police arrived to find the body of a woman in her 20’s rolled up in a mattress. The victim has been identified as 27-year-old Josianne Faucher.

David Tota, 38, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder. The accused and the victim were known to each other.
