Montreal police were called to Napoli Pizzeria on Aug.23 at 1:20pm on the report of a shooting.

Police and paramedics arrived to find 50-year-old Diego Fiorita suffering from gunshot injuries. Fiorita was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

According to the Journal de Montreal, Fiorita was facing criminal charges for making threats and harassing communications in a marital context, at the time of his death.

Diego Fiorita can be seen in a video on the day of his death speaking of his love of life.

No arrests have been made.
