Toronto police responded to a report of a stabbing in the Rowena Drive and Victoria Park Avenue area on November 22nd at approximately 1:29pm.

Police and paramedics arrived to find Maryanne Blandizzi, 41, of Toronto, suffering from serious injuries. Blandizzi was rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced deceased.

Wadea Al-Lala, 21, of Toronto, was arrested in the area and charged with Second Degree Murder. He is scheduled to appear in court at Toronto North, 1000 Finch Avenue West, Nov. 23rd at 10:00am.
