Manslaughter Charge Laid After Body Found in Kawartha Lakes Park

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have launched an investigation following the discovery of a man’s body in a Bobcaygeon park over the weekend.

Officers with the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP were called to a park on Mansfield Street around 9:15 p.m. on Sept. 27th. When they arrived, they found the body of 50-year-old Jason Bucsis, a resident of Toronto.

A 31-year-old man from Port Credit has since been arrested in connection with the death. He now faces a charge of manslaughter, as well as an additional charge for breaching a release order.

The investigation is ongoing as police continue to gather information surrounding the circumstances of the incident.
