The 2026 Toronto Homicide Victim List is available here
On February 7, 2026, at approximately 3:31 p.m., officers were called to the parking lot of the shopping centre near Rexdale Boulevard and Highway 27 following reports of a shooting.
When police arrived at the scene, they located a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to hospital in life-threatening condition, where he later died from his injuries.
The victim has been identified as Chandan Kumar Raja Nandakumar, 37, of Brampton.
This incident marks Toronto’s third homicide of 2026.
Update: Toronto police announced on March 3rd that Isaiah Thomas Badger, 19, of Edmonton, is wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant for:
- First Degree Murder
On March 19, 2026, Isaish Thomas Badger was found and arrested by the Calgary Police Service Fugitive Apprehension Team. He has been charged with first-degree murder and is now being transported to Toronto to appear in court.
Update on Thursday, April 30, 2026, officers arrested Dyson Taylor, 18, of Brantford, for, Accessory After the Fact to Murder. On Wednesday, May 6, 2026, officers arrested Xzavier Blake, 18, of Toronto, for First Degree Murder.
He was scheduled to appear in court at Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 9:30 a.m., in room 107.
