Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit announced on February 16th that they are investigating the murder of a twenty-five-year-old male that occurred at 9:25pm on February 15th in the 500 block of St. Laurent Boulevard.
The victim has been identified as 25-year-old Omar Jonathan Grant of Ottawa.
25-year-old Jacob BLANCHARD was charged with second-degree murder and assault with a weapon. He appeared in court on February 17th and was remanded into custody.
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of 25-year-old Samuel LAURIN-GAUVREAU of Ottawa for charges of second-degree murder and assault with a weapon.
Update March 17th – The Ottawa Police Service has arrested Samuel LAURIN-GAUVREAU, 25, of Ottawa, on an outstanding warrant in relation to the February 15th stabbing death of twenty-five-year-old Omar Jonathan Grant.
