Montreal Police said the body of Richard Grenier, 59, was found by a passerby in a ditch on Marie-Curie Ave near Albert-Einstein Street at 5:45 am,  May 11th.

Jérémie Fortier-Grenier, 23, was arrested on May 11th and taken to hospital for “self inflicted wounds”. The Sûreté du Québec said Fortier-Grenier is the victim’s son. Police have not released the cause of death at this time.

Jérémie Fortier-Grenier will remain in custody until he appears in court.
