Jennifer Barrett found dead, decomposing in a barrel full of chemicals

Winnipeg police said a barrel with human remains was found last year on the property of a home in the Waverley Heights neighborhood. A search warrant was obtained on December 1, 2016, and police required forensic lab results to determine the identity of the victim.

Police said the victim was placed in a 170 liter drum along with chemicals to speed up decomposition. Police said the autopsy revealed the victim, Jennifer Barrett 42, was beaten to death sometime in august, then placed in the barrel.

Barrett’s 3 roommates have been charged with her death. Perez Adaryll Cleveland, 43, has been charged with first-degree murder. Jessica Elizabeth Reid, 34, of Winnipeg, and Holley Alyssa Sullivan, 28, of Calgary are charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
