Brantford Police responded to the Brantford General Hospital on report of an adult male who had suffered life threatening gunshot injuries on January 1, at approximately 5:35pm..

The victim, Jeffrey Ronald Maxner, 34, died of a gunshot wound in hospital. Police believe the shooting that happened in the area of St Paul Ave and Terrace Hill Street was targeted.
