Jeanene Rosa Moar charged with manslaughter in relation to the death of a newborn in Winnipeg

Winnipeg Police Service were alerted to the report of a newborn infant placed in a garbage bin in the 400 block of Boyd Avenue on May 3rd.

On arrival police located a deceased infant girl within a garbage bin in the back lane. Investigators believe Baby MOAR was alive when she was placed in the garbage bin.

Police identified Jeanene Rosa Moar, 31,  as giving birth to the baby and she was transported to hospital and subsequently admitted for medical precautions.

On June 7th Police arrested the accused without incident at the Women’s Correctional Institute in Headingley, where she was being held. Moar has been charged with:
– Manslaughter
– Conceal Body of a Child
