Update: A second woman has been charged – 15-year-old girl charged with intentionally striking and killing a man with a vehicle in Powerview-Pine Falls.

Powerview RCMP responded to a vehicle collision involving two pedestrians, on a trail near Dupont Street, in Powerview-Pine Falls on June 3rd at 8:45pm.

On arrival police located a 27-year-old female pedestrian, who was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and a 20-year-old male pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police said the investigation has determined that a 15-year-old female was driving, and intentionally struck the pedestrians. A 15-year-old female from Sagkeeng First Nation was arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder and Assault with a Weapon.

On October 4, 2022, RCMP arrested an 18-year-old woman, from Fort Alexander, and charged her with Second Degree Murder & Assault with a Weapon.
