Update: Richard Stevens wanted by Niagara Police: Jacob Chudney & Jade Hayward charged in connection to the August 2024 homicide of Daniel Sanvido in Port Colborne

Niagara Regional Police were called to the area of Forkes Road and Highway 140 in the City of Port Colborne on the report of a deceased male in a grassy area off the roadway on August 24, 2024, at around 3:35pm.

Police said 38-year-old Daniel Sanvido was the victim of a homicide.

On Thursday January 2, 2025, detectives arrested 36-year-old Jade Hayward of St. Catharines. She is facing a charge of First Degree Murder.

Hayward is being held in custody pending a bail hearing on Friday, January 3, 2025, at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse in the City of St. Catharines.

Update: On Saturday January 4, 2025, 47-year-old Jacob Cudney was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder.

Cudney is currently being held in custody pending a bail hearing on Saturday January 4, 2025, at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse in the City of St. Catharines.

Niagara Police continues to search for 47-year-old Richard Stevens, who is also wanted in connection with the murder of Daniel Sanvido.

Stevens is encouraged to contact legal counsel and make arrangements to surrender himself into police custody.

Stevens is considered to be armed and dangerous and should not be approached.  If anyone has information on his whereabouts, they should call 911immediately.
