The 2022 Surrey BC Homicide Victim List is available here

Surrey police were called to the report of a deceased man at Hazelnut Meadows Park, near 140th Street between 68th and 70th avenues, on May 26th at approximately 9:00pm.

Police said the victim’s injuries were consistent with foul play. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team had taken over the investigation.

Update May 30th
Surrey police and IHIT have identified the victim as Maanav Kinkar, 18. Investigators said Kinkar was seen at the Surrey Central SkyTrain station in the hours before his death.
