The 2025 BC Homicide Victim List is available here

Surrey Police responded to reports of a shooting near the 10400 block of 152 Street around 11:40 p.m, on November 28th.

On arrival police located a man suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police believe the homicide was targeted and stated that the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has taken over the investigation.

Update: IHIT has identified the victim as 26-year-old Jaskaran Birring of Chilliwack in an effort to advance the investigation. According to reports, Birring had earlier interactions with law enforcement and was thought to be connected to the drug trade.
